Everyday things
« on: October 26, 2018, 20:42:52 PM »
That are different in Turkey, that is.

I went for a haircut this week and it was whoosh, whoosh with a number 3 and a quick snip, snip with the scissors and it was all over in a matter of a very few minutes.

So very different from Turkey where great care is taken after a a careful study of what is required.

So are there everyday things which you find different at home.

PS I don't want this thread to turn into members just slagging of the UK.  :(

TV adverts in the UK are guaranteeing delivery of a sofa before Xmas.

In Turkey, they'll deliver next day.

My hubby agrees with you Highlander about haircuts, although he won't go to a Turkish barbers in UK as he says they rip people off.  :D

There are two Turkish barbers in our village, and they’re always busy, with queues waiting.
Me, I do my husband’s hair with a device that barbers use, and some sharp scissors for the edges.  I always ask him about his holidays and ask if he wants anything for the weekend!

Driving into a petrol station; have someone fill the car & wash the windscreen in the meantime
