Title: Shrink Wrap Machines at Dalaman

I see they have Shrink Wrap machines at Dalaman.   Apparently, lots of people want to do this and put their hand luggage in the hold.

Really? Did not see when I flew out of Dalaman two weeks ago but maybe a new addition. Does not look like Dalaman though?

I would say though that security seemed strict. Normal security on arrival at terminal, then before passport control. Also everyone's hand luggage was checked at the departure gate, including unpacking of handbags and cases. Not sure how this can be maintained during the high season?
On arrival, only 3 luggage carousels for international flights as others being uses for domestic arrivals.

They do that in lots of foreign countries where they don't trust the baggage handlers!

Well according to a woman on the internet. She only travels with a back pack and she will put her ipad in it to go in the hold so, as she says most foreign airports have these machines and if you wrap your bag it stops baggage handlers getting into luggage.   
However, IMHO I would think if there was a dishonest Handler, wrapping it like this would be an incentive to said dishonest person that there was something he/she might want in that small bag.
I note from this video lots of people wrapping suitcases up too.

Most major airports have stretchwrap machines. So do many large train and coach stations. It's a growing business.

If that's done before check-in, what if customs want to check your bag?  What if you don't have a blade handy at your destination to get all that cling film off?????   :o
