A wise investment, captainjon. The next step is to take it out of the box  ;)

Apologies,I should,nt have called you a prat. But, Bostans,is run by two of the nicest people in the world.Recep and carol go out of their way to try and create the best food they know how. They have one of the most imaginative menu,s I have seen on the front, they are extremely generous with their portions off the main menu and their BBQs with full three course trimmings are superb.I will not bore you with detail, perhaps you are out of touch here.???????

Am I to spend my entire Wednesday afternoon replying to captainjohn...

All my reviews can't be positive John. Actually if you read them from 2003 I think it's around 99 good to each 1 not so good. The coffee is rubbish. It was most definitely not from any Italian machine (unless it's a washing machine) and it is a disgrace to charge for it. If you read all of my post rather than the parts that suit, you will note that I was complimentary of the jolly people working there and that it was good of them to give their floorspace to the charity cause. I have no idea about BBQs and generous portions, my post was about the coffee only.

As for the insult, I've made a career out of being a sarcastic prat. You appear do it for nothing. (Apologies :D )

I can't see a silent protest working on a forum to be honest :D

One pack of Jacob's ground coffee and one individual cafetiere allows half decent coffee to be made in the same time as a mug of ghastly instant, so there's no excuse. As I said in my highly controversial original post, if you're charging a quid for it you should try to sell something worth buying.

Anyway, there are at least two proper coffee places now, so maybe it was my fault [:o]

Sorry to disagree with the Captain, but on recommendations on this website we tried Bostans and the meals we had where not good, service was terrible... Perhaps we hit them on a bad night, but with so much choice in good Restaurants we did not go back.
