Shaka Indian Night
« on: January 16, 2013, 21:47:59 PM »
Tonight was the "For one night only " Indian night in Shaka from where we have just returned.
There was not a spare seat to be had and I will say now that I went expecting to enjoy some of it but not all of it.
I was overjoyed to find plenty of choice and every single dish was wonderful. I have eaten Indian all over the world but never had such tasty original Indian food as we ate tonight.
It was worth every lira and I only wish Zai lived here so it could be a regular event.
When she came around the tables afterwards we were all asking her to return and we have a "maybe" for November....
We had a table of 4 (one of which was not an Indian food lover) and we all agreed that it was fabulous food.
Well done and thank you to all the satff at Shaka but special thanks to superb chef Zai.

That looks really yummy - wish it could be a regular event through the Summer.

Have to agree, the food was really good although I thought the Chicken Karahi was a little bland.Well done to Zai for a good night and I will try to get to one of her familys chain of restaurants, Akbars, next time I'm in the north of England.

There's quite a few 'Akbar' restaurants in Leeds - any ideas where the family restaurants are?
Sounds fabulous - wish I could have been there.
