I love tattie scones (hubby is Scottish) and so does one of my son's I will probably give these a try in Calis, will make a nice change from chips  :)

Forget potato bread, where's the soda bread dipped in the bacon fat in the grill tray. Or maybe that is an Ulster fry (another classic). In Bushmills we stopped for lunch at a charming cafe and the Ulster fry there came with a large pancake (the thick ones, not those thin things). I've never seen such a thing before - bacon etc served on top of something quite sweet/sugary. For the record it was delicious  :)
