Hi all, I’ve just noticed that my last automatic bank payment from Finans for electricity to Aydem was taken on the 2nd November 2015 and nothing has been taken since! Previously to this the payments have been taken regulary as expected. Has anyone banking with Finans or any other bank experienced the same issue?

No issues with Garanti for my own accounts or with ING for the site accounts

I have had a Direct Debit/Standing Order for Aydem on my Finansbank account for over 2 years and have not experienced any issues.
My current bill is not due to be paid for a couple of days - so if there are any issues, I will let you know.

We had this problem several years ago and they would re-set the payment
Pay and then cancel again and again, in the end we cancelled and closed our account
Cost us more in bank charges than the actual bill. We are not living out there so
our friend pays when the bill is due.

Was that problem with Finansbank, Badger?

Touchwood ( dont wannajinx things!) we have a DD with Finas for our leci and water and i get atext message to my phone saying the amount that is going out, just checked my phone and had a text on 7 th aug saying it was being paid next day... We dont live in Turkey so only get a bill and then a text after wev been in our apartment to use any leci ;)

Yes it was Finansbank.

My OH had the exact same issue with Garanti a couple of years ago. From speaking to others, its something that that happens with all banks. Was told the reason for it happening, but cant remember now, something to do with the target bank changing something.

Many thanks for all of your replies. I can see that the direct debit (automatic payment) is still live on Finans bank. On the Aydem website it tells me that I owe 2 lira. I’ll have to investigate further when we are next out to Calis early September.
