Any ideas how to remove sap from a car?
« on: September 27, 2014, 14:08:01 PM »
I have a listed pine tree which over hangs from the church next door over our drive, our cars are covered in sap from the tree and ive tried everything to remove this stuff which is sticky in the summer and drys hard in the winter.Because the tree is listed it can not be pruned or cut down, but its really messed our cars up.Does anyone out there have a solution to the removal of this stuff,i have tried most things including white spirit, any suggestions would be appreciated, thanks.

Used WD40 in the past with good results.  Also, acetone (nail varnish remover) apparently works.

Also worth trying diesel to dissolve it and then a T-Cut like product.
