Title: laser eye surgery

does anyone know if its worth having laser eye surgery done in turkey as oppose to england and howmuch it would cost, also where in the fethiye area could it be done or has anyone had experience of this . thanks

I know a couple of Turkish lads that had it done. They had to go to Izmir or istanbul as far as i remember. Think it cost around 900 tl for both eyes too.

You are right screamlead, my grandaughter has been quoted 1000tl by Kartel Göz. They dont do the operation in Fethiye it's in istanbul & needs an overnight stay.

My friend had both of her eyes done at the special eye hospital.  After wearing glasses for endless years with a complicated prescription she went for it.  She was very impressed with the level of surgery and treatment and has had no probs.  Will ask her how much. Think it was 5000TL for both eyes but will double check

Just got back from Kartal Göz eye hospital where my grandaughter was quoted 1100tl for lazer treatment.They can do some opreations here in Fethiye but as hers is more complex she will have to go to istanbul, this price we are told is for both eyes.

I'm very tempted......just worried about my lack of Turkish and the problems that could cause me during consultation/operation
