Gout
« on: February 18, 2014, 20:34:04 PM »
I suffer from gout and use Naproxen to alleviate  the pain. Is it available (does anybody know) in Fethiye - or is it known by a different name. Want to stock up when back out to Calis.

Thanks

This is a list of medicines from Turkey with English equivalents.  It may help you.

It is available as Naproxen Fort ( blue coloured tablets - white in the UK) I was given a prescription for them by my dentist in Fethiye & then got them on prescription here in the UK - you can buy them in any Pharmacy in Fethiye, Calis or Gunlukbasi - the ones I had were 500mg, but you can get lesser doses

Google ; ilacabac;Turkish vademecum. This should give you Turkish names of generic drugs and from what I see  it looks like you are in luck but with a close spelling match.
Good luck !

I suffered from gout for about 8 years on and off, about three attacks per year but since I took a course of Milk Thistle tablets (available from Hollands & Barratts) about 6 years ago I haven't had a single attack. They are also very good for preventing hangovers - just pop two before you go out on a bender and in the morning your head is as clear as a bell.  ;D

There's been a supply in my apartment since day 1, I  just preferred to see you suffering than tell you about them   ;)
