Hardly dare write this but I'm so excited I want to shout it out loud.....
House went on the market two weeks ago. Saturday afternoon we accepted an offer, this morning all initial paperwork signed (or whatever it is that happens - so long since we bought anywhere I can't remember!).
Seem a genuinely lovely couple - could tell she'd fallen in love with the place on first viewing - and no chain, for either us or them. So theoretically it should all be relatively easy - although they are famous last words as many of you know. : :)
The absolute best bit is that they are in no hurry to move as they are not selling their existing place - the chap's mum is moving there when she has sold her own house - but they know that we want to get it all done and dusted. So they are willing to complete the sale and then rent the house back to us until we're ready to leave in June/July, which means no pressure on us to find somewhere else or move out.
Our son will be renting a place with his best mate in spring and we've told him he can have whatever furniture he needs/wants, so he effectively becomes our storage and we don't have to sort out selling everything off.
At the moment, it feels like a top result all round. :)
