A friend arrived back from Calis in the early hours and rang to say that the price of Efes and spirits is way up on last year. He says he paid about 4YTL for a beer and 5 for a turkish spirit. Surely this cannot be! Will I really need an advance of pocket money later this month?

The prices have gone up of local drinks but not that much. Change your bar lisa.

I usually pay between 5 and 7 lira for a beer. I must be going to the wrong places too.

definitely going to the wrong bars, you can pay as low as 1.5 at ali's cafe up to 3.5 elsewhere the most I have ever paid is 4.
no way would I pay between 5 and 7 what with 3 kids and an alcoholic wife in tow we would be spent out in a fortnight.(HA HA)

I see a mission here,

 Forum customers EFES prices.

 send in your 1 x Efes price and state size (i.e ML) and where purchased. (Wholesale and supermarkets, pidas on the side excluded). State price per 1 x EFES drink only.

Do not diverse topic to wine or import beers, it is quite simple where is the cheapest EFES in town, its our Forum and we have the right to know!! Power to the People!

We are just back and the price of a beer is not too bad at @ 3YTL however forget the G&Ts at around 6 without a mixer is more expensive than at home.So guess who will have her own wee supply . Except when we are having a small refreshment in the Forum bar of an evening!! 8) :-\:PMary

A large Efes in most bars is 3YTL, absolute max is 3.5 YTL, many places in Fethiye during the winter were charging 4.5YTL. As some people say you can find a bit cheaper.

I went to Olu Deniz for the day last week and popped into a place that wasn't even on the sea front and ordered a bottle of Efes and was charged 5 Lira. I don't know if I can name and shame here... but hey they deserve the advert SALT n PEPPER. The cheeky buggers even said come to our Chinese night....... Yeh right, just what I came here for!

Where we live Efes is 2.5Ytl & a bowl of nuts on the table, which are replenished frequently.

Look guys and gals - lets get organised here so that we can all get the cheapest efes in town. Dippey started a thread in May and the link is posted above. I will post it again and would ask that you post on it so that we can keep things in one place. Name & shame or name and praise - whatever - but when I go over next week I don't want to waste valuble drinking time looking for cheap beer!
