Title: Levissi Garden
Post by: julesbob0303 on June 05, 2013, 22:45:36 PM
What a great little place this is - an absolute gem!

We stopped off for an early afternoon drink, and ended up staying for a couple of relaxing hours with lunch (and wine, of course  :) ).  The staff were lovely, the loos immaculate (with absolutely everything included, that you may have forgotten, on a loo visit!) and the chill out area extremely relaxing!

When we eventually left, we were told that they do a free pick up and drop off service (a saving of 50 lira each way on a taxi fare), so we decided to take advantage and visited a couple of evenings later.  I cannot recommend this restaurant enough - the steaks were to die for, definitely the best we have had in the Calis/Fethiye area.  The evening started with a look round their wine storage area (previously a stable!) - this was the biggest wine collection I have ever seen!  There was a tasting session to determine which wine you would like on your table.  Our table overlooked the ghost village which was stunning as the sun set.  The table was candle lit with lots of lovely fresh flowers.  The staff were extremely smart and very attentive, without being "in your face".  The cost for four of us (starters of olives, bread etc was included, we all had steak, plenty of wine and a couple of beers) was about £100.  £25 per person was an absolute bargain for the service and excellent food/wine provided and a great night out.

A huge thumbs up for this place - we will definitely be regular visitors.   :)

After this recommendation, went up for lunch today.  We were not disappointed. Lovely lunch with home made trifle for me for afters and home made cake for Phil.  Very nice attentive staff and lovely views of the ghost village. Liked the fact there was a big table of Turkish folk in eating.

Well if the Turks are eating there it's always a a good sign that this restaurant is used by the locals and if they like the food it's a great recommendation for us.

Glad you enjoyed it Jacqui.  We also ate in the daytime there, but thought the evening was EVEN better!  If you get a chance to go again in the evening, try it.  Again, you wont be disappointed, and you can use their free transfer service, so that you can both enjoy their delicious choice of wines!   :)
