Popped into the new Tezekan shop in Fethiye, which had opened earlier in the day. Very modern with electrical, plumbing, gardening on the ground floor and furniiture and household in the basement floor. Lots of people milling around, but not much evidence of buying going on though. Not sure if this was the prices, which appeared to my untutored eye to be about the same as you'd pay in Homeprof, without the access to Homeprofs stock/area of tools and general hardware, which admittedly is getting smaller.
Call me old fashioned but I was hoping to go into a modern iron mongers with tools etc. served by knowledgeable men dressed in brown dust coats. Ho hum that's the way of the world today, all glitz and no brown dust coats : :) ;)

UBT did you happen to notice proper garden forks like the ones we buy in the UK not the ones that are only good for tossing hay that they normally sell here :)

Nichola - never noticed any when I was in.

OK thanks Jim. I remember seeing one about ten years ago priced at about £40 in the DIY shop in Fethiye but bought one over from the UK which last winter got stolen from our garden. I notice they didn't take the "Turkish" garden tools just my fork!

Do they sell Sky Hooks?

Yes Nichola, proper garden forks but neither of us noticed the price, sorry.
