Wireless or cable ? If wireless, are your mouse batteries OK ?

Have you tried the techie's favourite fix ? ie Switch off. Wait 10 seconds. Switch on.

Are the keys working ok?
Do you have another mouse to try?
If yes to 1 & no to 2 above, you might have to buy a new mouse  :-\

Highlander, is there a little ball inside the mouse, which can be removed and cleaned?

Do you have mouse software "driver" that can be re installed?

Dave.

H, they stopped making mice with cables in May 2002. Splash out on a new one ... or you'll get loads of stereotypical Scots jokes.

Have a look on this site H. There should be a driver you can download for your make of mouse.

Thanks all - have tried another mouse and it appears to be working so will probably go with Colwyn's suggestion however painful that is.

Sorry for taking your time up.
