Returning to the UK from Dalaman on Monday/Tuesday. What a dreadful experience! Loads of delayed flights so lots of people hanging about until the early hours. No information about the delays then gate changes down to gates 34/33 etc where people were corralled into crowded sections with Turkish security staff doing the baggage recheck. Security staff were awful, shouting a people, pushing people about. Children were screaming and crying, adults getting fraught. Then being put onto crowded buses for transfer to the planes sat on the runway and left on the buses for half an hour. This is only the start of the season. Bad experiences at the end of holidays like this really sour what people think about travelling to destinations.

wecame back with jet2 late/early hrs sun/ mon no delays but lots of gate changes

Don't put all the blame on Dalaman all the flights delayed in UK due to.european airspace busy.
my son flew out monday with Jet 2 over a hour late.

I don’t think delays are the issue really, it’s how people are managed when they are delayed was my point. Security staff at both Dalaman and Antalya are generally poorer at interacting with travellers than say at UK airports. Maybe better staff training might help.

Never had trouble with them myself neither any of my family, maybe its a Ramadan thing.
