Are there any banned breeds of dogs in turkey? Spain have just introduced a ban covering all Bull breeds and their crosses,Rottweilers and various others. As I have a Staffie /greyhound
he would not be able to enter. As we are thinking of the big move I would like to be sure about Turkey as I couldn't leave him (though my husband has suggested various solutions, and a bullet was mentioned !) He loves him really.
If we drove are the officials any easier at the border ?

I don't think there are any banned breeds in Turkey at the moment. Although they'll probably fall into line with EU regs in an effort to get in at some time.

Your vet should be able to give you the info you need and you can also look at the DEFRA website.

Officials at Cesme did not even bother looking at our Schnauzer or her paperwork!

Our friends moved here over a year ago with their Staff and Doberman.  They didn't have any problems at all.
