Mail sent through CBF
« on: January 24, 2012, 13:44:50 PM »
Hi Scunner,

Would it be possible to get a notification on CBF when somebody has sent me a mail through the forum?

I have a mail address that I use for online activities such as  forum/shopping/etc and when I receive a mail from CBF it sometimes takes me several days to notice it.

Of course I understand that it's my responsibility to check my mail more often but I was just wondering whether CBF can give me a notification (as some other forums do)?

Thanks

Sadly not Dutcho - this forum type doesn't use private messaging as such (and as some do) - the message facility is very much an email router between members.

Can you not auto forward from the email account you use less often to your reguar one.
I auto forward from my old yahoo account to my hotmail account then I dont miss any spam or dodgy emails ;)

Dutchie

It may also be possible to set up within the tools option of your email settings "rules and alerts" to have emails directed to a specific folder.

Regards
Dave.

The reason I use two mail accounts is that I don't want to be bothered with all the spam and such.

But...trusting Scunner...I have changed my mail address for CBF so from now on I'll receive the mails in my regular account.
Problem solved.
