Julie I think we may be talking at cross purposes. I am referring to my buildings and contents insurance which quotes a sum adequate to cover rebuild. My attached neighbours obviously have to have similar cover and I know that they do. I know that all owners on our complex are covered, some with Intasure and others with various Sigorta.

I do not think Dask is worthless. it pays to have site cleared or else you would have to pay yourself and that can be expensive.

if you have no cover for a rebuild who would worry about liability for JCB costs  8)

I live here so need my villa  hence having dask and building insurance to make sure I will have somewhere to live in the event of an earthquake. What do others think about buildıngs insurance. I had it in UK so makes sense to have it out here.

The mayor of Oludeniz, Keramettin Yilmaz, told the private NTV television network that the quake had caused material damage but that he had no immediate reports of casualties.

And he should know

It seems everybody thinks the DASK (TCIP) insurance is for total loss only, I see nowhere on the Governement website that states it is for clearance of site only, here's the link, maybe one of the doom and gloom brigade can point out where the evidence/facts on the site is, or is it just the usual bar gossip??
