Would anyone know if Bert is still there at Calypso bar at the bottom end of hissar where the bus turns around. We had many a good night last year in this bar. I do hope he is still there and would recommend it to all. Just Bert on his guitar, nice and chilled, no boom boom miusic .... fab measures (hic)  great night out.

yes Phil hes still there ... as good a food as in the past and the music he sings/plays is still soo good.

ok if you are here for a week or two weeks holiday visiting the Calypso... but when you are here for most of the season, Berts musical choices ( mainly reggae material ) can be sooooooo repetitive..... he is talented and I know he can mix it around more musically.. that`s my only complaint  :(

It is one of the few bars in Hissy packed out every night. Maybe it is because people crave some decent live entertainment. There is certainly a shortage of it. Not just in Hiss but in Calis too. It would be nice if after a meal there was some entertainment occasionally instead of just sitting having a drink or a walk on the prom.
