we want to pay some money into our ING account when we are out next month, can someone please tell me is it best to take my sterling into the bank and pay it in as sterling and let them convert it or should we change it first into TL somewhere (not the fetiyhe conman's place!) and then pay it in to our account or does it not really make any difference either way, grateful for any advice

The bank usually have a better exchange rate take it to the bank they convert it from sterling to lira and then add it to your account
