Flight cock up
« on: May 13, 2013, 22:34:41 PM »
I have just booked 3 flights Dalaman to Manchester for 24th August with Monarch.
By mistake I booked the 02:00 flight instead of the 22:00.

What are my chances of changing the flight tomorrow without a £35 each admin charge?

Has anyone had any luck with Monarch customer services?

I was lucky with Thomas Cook before Bewva I spelt our surname wrong as did not have my glasses on, I phoned as soon as I could and did not get charged, don't know about Monarch though, as you have booked three flights with them they may be ok to deal with good luck really hope you do not get charged...

Well I rang first thing this morning and laid on the charm (doesnt come easy).  ;)
Nice chap on the phone said as it was a mistake rather than a change of circumstances he would waive the fee as I had phoned so soon after booking.  :)
Well done Monarch.

Great news and well done Monarch.  On the subject of Monarch I saw a fantastic deal on Monarch flight to Dalaman (one way) so decided to book it. When I went onto their site the price was £45 more expensive than advertised on Skyscanner.  I thought that everyone had to show their prices including taxes etc., not so Monarch. TC & Co advertise their prices inc. taxes etc.

I've had the same and think it is more down to these third party flight websites not updating rather than not adding the taxes and extras.

I made a error of name spelling 2 years back with monarch ...contacted them immediately and they were very helpful and did not charge .
