dog owner manners
« on: October 12, 2013, 16:45:51 PM »
Just finished sweeping outside the gate whilst having a little tidy up and sat down for some refreshment when blow me down my wife spots a dog having a wee on our gate. Got some water to wash it down outside when I spotted the little dog left a packet just outside on the road adjacent to the gate whilst disappearing with a larger dog, both on leads and the English owner towing them down the road. I called out but he ignored me. No he didn't have a doggy poo bag, no he obviously doesn't care what they do as he doesn't take his responsibility as a dog owner in the community seriously I guess to allow that sort of thing.
Maybe if it was delivered to his gate he might.

Considering the amount of unleashed dogs around I rarely encounter dog excrement on the pavements here in Ciftlik. We live on a small complex and out of consideration for my neighbours my three are always taken on 'pee & poop patrol' outside the grounds (armed with plenty of plastic bags).  That being said, I'm cheesed off with the amount of disposable nappies I see strewn around the area.

Tel, smear it on their gate and posts with a glove / bag.
It will give them time to reflect while cleaning it off.
It worked for me in the UK. His dog kept using my front lawn.
I kept using his front door.

Similar here in Portugal this year. Poop bags available free almost everywhere but I still managed to squash one by the marina yesterday! Very few strays about if any - just owners who don't give a toss!

I love dogs but some of their owners I could gladly rub their nose in it.
