Double underlines and Add-ons
« on: February 05, 2015, 14:01:21 PM »
I have had this problem before dut cannot remember if I asked hope to eradicate the problem.

Also and more importantly, I keep getting automatically redirected to other websites whilst on here.

So annoying. Our anti virus software advised about add-ons but I removed them all. At least I thought I had.

Any help will be gratefully received.

"I keep getting automatically redirected to other websites whilst on here".
Hi John. I recently changed my desktop to a really powerful fast one. Pop-ups were appearing so rapidly that CBF and many other websites were virtually unusable. The normal pop-up blockers were useless. For me it was time to cry "help" so I got my son who is a programmer, not an analyst. Through other guys in his office he came up with AdwCleaner.exe and Malwarebytes Anti malware. He ran these for me and I have had no problems since.

Just had exactly the same problem Highlander. I tried everything, but to no avail, in the end I took my PC into the repair shop that I have used for many years now. He said that this particular malware (offerasoft) made it impossible to use the Internet. He ran a number of programmes and finally got rid of my problem. Apparently it's all to do with a Russian guy who is now in prison, but has yet to tell how to eradicate the problem! He also reccomended that I install  malwarebytes pro as unlike the free addition this will continually run in the background.
