« on: February 07, 2020, 20:58:31 PM »
Hi everyone i hope i can post this topic here.

We will be with the family back again in calis in july.
Now we really want to enjoy a day in the blue lagoon in olundeniz.

Is here anyone who can tell me what is the best way to get there?
Dolmus or taxi?

By the way i have 2 little children with me to take in account

Dolmus or bus to the big mosque in the centre of Fethiye. Dolmus from there to Oludeniz.

Dolmus to Fethiye, then dolmus to Olu deniz (40 minutes approx).

Kids might well find it oppressive especially in July.

Best way would be by taxi if cost wasn't a consideration.

Yes you maybe right about the dolmus with the kids...

Do you maybe have any idea what the cost are for a taxi to olundeniz?

Think it could be more than 100 lira to the lagoon. Maybe 130/140. Dolmus are air conditioned now but certainly hot in July and maybe too much with children at that time of year. I would talk to a taxi driver when you are here and see what price for a return you can negotiate.

You could get a taxi up to Hisaronu. Have a mooch round up there and something to drink. Then get a dolmus down to Oludeniz.

Mondays are market day in Hisaronu. Nowhere near as big as Fethiye but still plenty of clothes, bedding, trinkets etc, plus the usual pancakes and kebabs, if you're interested.

Last year we paid 150tl for a pre booked taxi return journey to Hisaronu from Calis.

You'd probably be better going to one of the small private beaches further round the lagoon too.
Plenty of shallow waters and generally not packed in like sardines either.
If you opt for the dolmus option they are more than happy to drop you further round the bay

Paradise Beach (previously run by Nichola and Dogan) further round the bay is a nice spot.

Dolmus driver would let you off there and if as in Nichola and Dogan's time would take you back to catch the dolmus for Fethiye.
