I buy free range in the UK - Always, what wording would be on the pack if I bought them in the supermaket in Turkey. I need more than a picture of a happy chicken to convince me that they are!

have to agree that 10tl for a dozen eggs is a lot...3tl would be about right...that wouldnt include delivery of the eggs mind you.

From time to time Migros have boxes of Eggs marked Cift Sarili (Double Yolks) They are usually about 5-6 Lira for a box of ten, but they are real whoppers....nearly double the size of a normal egg and whilst not guaranteed most as the name implies are double yolked :)

I havent seen free range in any supermarket....the only ones I know  are what they call "village eggs" which you buyat any of the markets, I get mine from my cheeseman at the Patlangic market on Saturdays for for 2 and a half lira for 10 eggs
