At Last - The End
My responses to Tinkerman's original question - [Should we] Bring Back the Cane? - were short and jokey; I wasn't really taking it seriously. One reason for this was that I knew if I did respond in a serious fashion I would inevitably end up with long-winded pontification rather than a snappy slogan - as I have now proven. However, when Tinx challenged me to provide an alternative solution, I thought it would be polite to try to respond rather than merely dismissing his corporal punishment view. Perhaps this was mistake; I certainly won't be doing it again in a hurry!
