We originally went up to Hisarönü for a curry at Saffron or Shine but neither open until late afternoon, 5pm and 6pm respectively.
So we decided to go back to Aubergine (who are open in the day) and had another fantastic meal. Owners Bayram (I think) and Angela owned their own restaurant for ten years in the UK before returning to Turkey and opening Aubergine three years ago.
Doğan had a very hot curry, and I opted for the Lamb Shank with mint sauce gravy; fabulous taste and beautifully presented.

Nichola I think it is very big of you,having a restaurant of your own going out of your way to praise other restaurants in the area.

I'm sure Nichola is no different to anyone else on the forum. We all want to share when something is good. Restauranters also like to eat out and their opinion is as valid as anyone's. They also have nothing to fear by promoting another restaurant, their own food is quite fabulous and uniquely true to Dogans part of Turkey. The meal looks really yummy Nichola. :D

Aubergine is on the right hand side of the road on a corner some way before you get to the Hisarönü roundabout. Opposite Et Mangal and the Kings Arms.
