We went to Cihan's new place ("Sardunya") for a meal and it was rather excellent. It is on the corner opposite Scarlett Bar (formerly the Far British Corner restaurant). Cihan used to run the Keyf restaurant down the steps between the Dolphin Roundabout and the Aries Hotel.
The menu is Turkish, and very cheap by Calis standards. Drink measures like the old days
- and it seemed very popular whenever we were down that way.
Cihan is a superb host, very warm and eager to please. During our meal we received free garlic bread to start, free fruit plate, free baklava and free cay/Turkish coffee. He is also very child friendly, never too busy for them and popular with the kids:
It also appears to be popular with Turkish folk, and that is usually a good sign
Definitely worth a visit.
