It's surprising to read that the Bogazici staff were taken on at the Yakamoz - almost to a man their only skill was the amazing ability to miss all attempts to attract their attention.

Funny you should say that. I was thinking of starting a thread entitled " How to become invisible in Calis" - all it entails is being a man in a bar with only male waiters when there is one or more pretty girl in the bar.

I was thinking of starting a topic called "Enjoy a comfy seat, great view and a drink for 50p an hour" -

1. Go to Bogazigi
2. Time to get waiter attention to order a drink = 15 minutes
3. Time for drink to actually arrive = 15 minutes
4. Time to drink it = 15 minutes
5. Time to get waiter attention to ask for bill = 15 minute
6. Time for bill to actually arrive = 15 minutes
7. Time taken for waiter to take bill with liras within = 15 minutes
8. Time for bill and change to come back = 15 minutes
9. Leave

Spend: £1 Time taken: 2 hours

And YES, it was that bad.

I have never had a problem in either of the places but perhaps that is because of my friends, who fulfill the criteria for not being invisible.

We used to go to the Bogazici a great number of times before the staff departed next door to the Yakamoz. Now both restaurants seem to suffer the same slow service. Neither of these retaurants seem to have any consistency.

Don't think pretty comes into it  with Turkish males any woman will do, went to boycigis whatever its called 3 weeks ago food disgusting all had to be sent back 4 T bone steaks one fish dish which wasn't what we ordered they did change them never again, are there no proper restaurants in fethiye or calis i ,know red island sounds more like it, but are the proper restaurants all in the good  hotels ,like yacht hotel in the harbour so i have heard ,what i mean by a proper restaurant is 20 /30 dishes not like some of these they must have 100/150 dishes ,a place one goes for very good food and forgets the price of efes  .  ;)
