Karatas/Kargi Beach Bar (Suats Old Place)
« on: May 04, 2010, 21:24:33 PM »
As a quite frequent user of the site, but a very infrequent submittee of posts (for which I apologise), I'd just like to bring to the forums attention that the bar which used to be Suats i.e. before he opened the place near the Birlik (which then became Mutlu's), has now been re-opened by a very nice family and is run by their son called Hunkar Cay (as in tea). We first went up there last October before locking up for the winter and when we went back a couple of weeks ago, he'd done quite a lot of improvements and is trying to get the place established for the longer term.
He's already got through the winter on mainly Kargi 'locals' trade and those who've nipped up to check it out like ourselves.
The menu is reasonable and the food well presented and I for one emjoy the peace and tranquility of the place for a change.

Anyway, why not give it a try.
Regards
Nev & Kath (Cicek)
