Title: No Cruise ships.
Post by: Jacqui Harvey on August 12, 2016, 09:05:00 AM
I am reading that all the cruise ships are now not going to any Turkish destinations so no Istanbul, Antalya or Kusadasi.   I read of one couples disappointment at not being able to visit Ephesus.
The schedule has been chandged on the P.&.O.Cruises and the Greek Islands such as Rhodes have been substituted for Turkey.  :( :'(

We went on the Celestyal Nefeli a few weeks ago. From Cesme to the Greek Islands and mainland Greece.
Had a fabulous trip.
In September they leave from Kusadasi.
Its a mid size ship but certainly luxurious enough.
Food and staff fab. We didnt want to get off!

That puts an end to chances of a terminal for Fethiye then which could have been a life saver for us.

Afraid so, but really bugs me that the cruises are still going to Egypt and places in the Middle East.

Cruise companies haven't just now stopped coming to Turkey - this started right back at the start of the year - and more have been deciding to do the same since.

Yes, P.&.O were coming to Turkey until recently.  I have seen a few people complaining that they had booked the cruise and wanted to visit Turkey and have now been told they will not be visiting.

I checked on this with Thomson cruises on one of the groups and apparently Thomson have dropped Istanbul and replaced it with Athens. On the same cruise however there is a day in Cesme, which is still happening.
