We had first jab yesterday, booked in for 24th April for 2nd so would love to think we can get away in May, but will just need to see what travel restrictions, if any, are around then both here and in Turkey.

You"re probably like me Chariste, disappointed that our May trip to Calis has now been scuttled by the announcement that flight restrictions will apply until at least 17 May.  Just waiting now for Easyjet to cancel our flight and looking at options.....do I accept a voucher or reschedule the arrangements or choose a refund.  After discussions with my daughter and son in law we are thinking of rescheduling our 3 weeks to May next year, hoping that all will be back to near normal by then.  Sad, but thankful that we have only lost a holiday, whereas others have suffered illness and bereavement.  God bless them.   :( :(

I agree Dennis.
Health is more important than holidays.
In the last 8 months my wife has been diagnosed with bowel cancer.
At least i will get our flight refunded now.
Its with easyjet so dont know how long we will wait.
Life can certainly be cruel at times.

I'm so sorry to hear of your wife's illness chariste and I pray that her treatment will give good results, enabling you both to live life to the full.  I'm sure that there will be many other forum members who will wish you well. Please let her know that our thoughts are with her at this difficult time.

We are due to go out for the first 3 weeks in May with Easyjet spending 2 weeks at the Oykun and the last week at Jiva Beach.  We live in hope that restrictions will be lifted in the UK and in Turkey.  If the UK government sticks to the 12 week gap regarding vaccinations I should have my second one in early April so presumably have a reasonable degree of protection against Covid..............unless the virus mutates yet again.  Ah well, wait and see.  Keep safe everyone.  I was going to stay "stay at home" but that would defeat the objective wouldn't it?  ;D ;D

You can now go on the NHS and book both appointments - or like me - just the second appointment.

We just did it this morning. I’ve got my 2nd 27/04 and Maggie booked both here for tomorrow and 13/05.

They are accepting over 60’s.
