He has also been known to give free puds and wine to his regulars as well. Not to mention 17 free raffle prizes every Saturday. He gives more away than any other bar I know. Just to mention that he gives all Calis forum member 10% discount and the lad does have to make a living. Pity the Calis bars who we keep going in the Winter don't do the same. Very few give us discount at any time. xx

Our own Ian gave us a couple of songs and a young lad from England joined in with the group. He was excellent. Free prize draw, good food and great company. Lots of dancing.What more can you want.? and a free bus again.

Not going again until New Years Eve and it will be of the few places that wont be having a "special set menu" and you dont have to eat, you can just have a drink. We know the entertainment will be second to none so what a great way to see the New Year in.

We won at least 5 of the raffle prizes between us - one being a 5 lira cash prize, the other being the top prize of a 3 course meal for 2..!! We had the 15 lira 3 course dinner, which was a lovely lentil soup, a delicious and hearty chicken madras, and pancake to finish!!! Mu played the guitar and was SUPERB, and he also had dancers on, who had everyone up enjoying themselves. Plenty of dancing, games and fun.....and there were only about 25 in the whole restaurant as it was the last Saturday of the season. But it didnt matter, and a great night was had. Cant wait to go back next July....

I love his battered onion rings. hey are crispy and delicious. We had the same 3 course meal that you had and it was excellent value for money. We cant wait for the Winter menu starting.

He isn't happy about itbecause he is letting us all down but his English isn't up to explaining on here. I know he will be up back and running again in March and I know all of his Calis customers wish him well.

Post by: geordieboy on November 25, 2010, 14:28:19 PM: The Turtle restaurant in Ovacik is having a bash New Years eve,also Xmas day lunch. I popped in the Turtle the other day to get a copy of their menus for the days in question but they had'nt been printed.
However we're popping in there for a meal tonight and hopefully they should now be printed.
With Scunners permission I'll post them on here,and if the New Years eve bash appeals to you let me know and if you want I can make a booking for you.
I've used the Turtle a lot for meals,and personally find it to be good food and good value.
The Turtle is reached by turning left or right at the Morning Star,depending upon whether you are approaching from Fethiye,or Hisaronu,up the hill,turn right,and the Turtle is approximately 100 mtrs on the left.

Mulled wine.+ mince pies.

Starters. Soup [home made] Lentil/tomato.

Pate [home made]

Melon.

Main. Roast turkey or beef,roast potatoes,
yorkshire puds,seasonal veg,sage&onion stuffing,
cranberry sauce.

Dessert. Xmas pud with brandy sauce or cream.
Trifle.
Cheese cake.

Tea or coffee served with mint chocolates.

The price as mentioned previously is 30tl,for a telephone booking the no is 0090 252 6167864 and the guy to talk to is Salih,speaks very good English.
The hosts for the occasion are Gayle&Les,I know them well,guaranteed to make the party swing.There'll be a Xmas quiz,raffles,live music etc.Also provided will be free transfer service to and from.

I was in the Turtle last night and the body count for the bash was 37.
If you're interested pm me with names and I'll book you in as a deposit of 10tl is required,you can square me away Xmas day.And no,I'me not on commission,just trying to do some one a good turn.

Also asked about New Year's eve,menu not printed yet,some time during the week,if you're interested I'll print that off as and when.
Asked about the price and was told 65--70 tl,when I'de finished spluttering in my beer I told him it was a bloody bit OTT was'nt it,he hastened to tell me this included all local beers,wines,spirits,all night.
Well let me know about Xmas day,I get my miserable pittance of pocket money tomorrow,and will be out on the lash,I can pop in and pay the money. 8)

If you go through Ovacik towards Hisaronu from Fethiye, Past The Grand Ucel (Water Park) keep going down the road to where it starts to get built up a bit, you pass a block of shops on the left then 4 Seasons is at the start of the next block.
You will not be dissapointed, Sat night is normally a party night in there. and Mo does other theme nights.
I have added a placemark on Google Maps (dont know if it will show for you but the position is at 36Â°34'18.25"N 29Â° 8'39.71"E

The other bars in the area closed at 11. There is a new male singer on there and he was brilliant. I suggest if you want to get in you need to book. Friends we went with have already booked because their families are coming out for Easter. Some more impressed customers.

I would say that you definately need to book on a Saturday night and maybe to be safe in the week to as it's been busy every time i've been in recently! Great to see places doing well and Mo deserves it after all the hard work him and the boys put in 8)

Turgut is the guy who is one of the best singers in the area. You must try the battered onion rings and the chicken madras. The sunday lunch is the best we have tasted here.
