Some friends of ours have just gone back to the UK after 2-weeks in their new villa in Dalyan.
They have asked me if I can have a mission to find them 2 remote controls as the new place (re-sale) has 4 aircon units but only 2 remotes.
I will go to the usual places near sanayi - but does anyone know a good place to start?
The units they have say Altus air conditioning remote 6711A90023E on the back.
I am keen to please as they have offered me a meal for 2 on them if I can find them as opposed to them going direct to Altus - the units will be about 6 years old so you would think spares would be locally available?

Just doing some surfing - to maybe answer my own question - has anyone ever used this type of universal remote for aircon in Turkey?

Ian, i have just tried the Altus handsets that i have and i think that any Altus handset will operate an Altus air con unit. I have 2 handsets with the same code as yours and they both operate a much larger unit which has a different style of handset. The other handset also operates the 2 other units.
I would go straight to the service centre which is on Adnan Menderis Bulvari on the right hand side if you head towards Fethiye.
