On Sunday 29th April, FIG (Fethiye International Group) Children’s Charity held a charity quiz night at Gino’s Restaurant and Bar in Ovacik to raise funds for local disadvantaged children in Fethiye area.
FIG’S supporters together with Gino’s regular customers and some holiday makers enjoyed fantastic food prepared by Gino and his hard working team before settling down to take part in the evening’s main event – the quiz. Quiz mistress Sue Lucas soon had everyone exercising their brains with her challenging, but entertaining questions on a wide range of subjects. The friendly competition between participants was enhanced by the award of spot prizes provided by Gino. The quiz ended in a draw between two teams with the final winner being decided by a “tie breaker question”.
This highly enjoyable night, which FIG hopes to repeat, raised the magnificent sum of 865tl. Fig would also like to say thank you to Isobella for donating monies from the sale of her artwork.
FIG would like to say a very big thank to Gino and Linda for hosting the event, Sue Lucas for running the quiz, Liz Tebbutt and Corrinne Davison for organising the raffle and to everyone who attended and for their amazing generosity.
