Am I in a musical time warp ? Watching Neil young on tv at Glastonbury,who is one of my favourite singer/ songwriters (although time is certainly catching up with him).Modern bands seem very hit and miss.Dont get me wrong there are some excellent bands at present Franz Ferdinand,Coldplay,Snow Patrol etc.As a pointer at work we are able to play radio/cd's and the guy's have fetched in some of their choice of music.I took some ELO,Clapton and the Who and our mate who is 30 (half my age)contributed the Stones,Kinks,Police- which suited me fine,adding that you just cant beat the oldies! At a time when MJ, undoubtedly a musical legend leaves us am I being too nostalgic and need to focus more on present chart stuff?
Incidently-The Boss (Bruce Springsteen) wanted a 3 hour set at Glaso but it has been reduced.He certainly gives value for money
