I can't see what all the fuss is about. We eat little baa lambs, little piggies and Bambi meat. Nowt wrong with a bit of mare, stallion, foal or whatever.

I'm inclined to agree with you.  I ate it in France.  It's OK.  Not quite as tasty as steak but OK.  I've eaten crocodile, frogs, buffalo, ostrich.  Seems pretty normal compared with some other things people eat.  If I have an issue I think it's that it was snuck in rather than upfront.

To be honest...I think I would be more wary of what's in meat products in other countries
