That sounds delicious.
I have all "the makings" and will give it a bash.
Thanks Colwyn and thanks Scunner.
Whilst we're on a soupy thread, a couple of years ago I had a wonderful, great tasting "home made" soup somewhere in Turkey's wilderness (I got lost on my motor scooter) and was told afterwards that it was "tripe soup" - and tripe, despite the encouragement of my parents, was and is something I have refused to try (along with chitterlings, brains and stuffed heart).
I looked it up and saw it was called "iskembi korbasi" - a very popular dish, it seems.
I still can't bring myself to make it though.
Weirdly, I love haggis despite knowing its ingredients.
