I went to the hospıtal for an eye test 2 years ago and was ınformed I had cataracts ın both eyes and needed regular check ups every 6 months. Duly had them and on the last vısıt ın March was told I would need an op ın Sept/Oct. Never havıng had a problem before so I went to Esnaf to get a 2nd opınıon from they're eye specıalıst . I do not have cataracts my eyes are just ageıng and I have dry eyes that need drops every day. It cost me 25tl for the 2nd opınıon well worth the money.

I find that a bit disturbing!
Eyes are very important things.

Exactly the same happened to our friend, he was told he had a cataract and had to attend every three months for a check-up . When back in the UK he had a further eye test only to be told he needed a weaker prescription and there was no problem.

I agree very worrying. I thought this was supposed to be a good eye place. Isnt this where the opticians take you for an eye test before u buy spectacles.

Have to say. Not all is negative.
I went here a couple of years ago and their service was excellent. well worth the 50 lira and short wait.

Esnaf is very good, Dr. Baran Nadi CENGiZ (eye surgeon) speaks English.

I would also recommend the eye surgeon at Letoon hospital, Dr. Ugur YAŞAR

It was Dr Gengiz at Esnaf that dıd the 2nd check for me. Very good Doctor.
