Hi I am coming out Christmas for 5 days arriving on the 23rd and returning on the 28th so really want to make the most of the days and nights i am here have been coming to Hisaronu (Turkey) for the last 15 years but never for Christmas.
Is there any restaurants that can be recommended for Christmas dinner ?
What is open in the Hisaronu/Ovacik area mainly for a few efes in the evening ?
Or even a trip into Fethiye/ Calis area is will be good also do the dolmus still run at this time of the year.
Would be grateful for any ideas to help us enjoy our first christmas at our second home ;D

Ps Does Mirgos or Azda open in the winter months in Hisaronu and if so what times !!!!

not been out at Christmas, but we were over in March this year, and it was pretty much watching the tumbleweed blowing down the main street, spookily quiet, so don't expect too much.

Been out twice for xmas in the last 4years we had xmas dinner al nil cafe,angels place on the front in calis good night stayed above in hotel room instead of trying to go home to our villa.Guvens are open xmas and seril 1 i think they all do dinner at xmas.Drove down to where you are 2 christmases ago and it was like a ghost town so be prepared.Alot more to do in calis or perhaps fethyie,good luck,and dont forget your brollie as it normally rains at some stage.

Plenty open in ovacik.Seashell, Turtle, Agean,all doing Xmas dinners, then theres Friar Tuck, Sonmez, Mirage, Day & Night Yaseoglu and Morning Star.Not too sure about Hissy but certainly Shine,Fez Bar,Shangai Blues ,Abrakadabra,4 Seasons and maybe Curry Palace & Hong Kong.

Yes azda and Migros always open all day as well as several mini markets along main road.Not sure about how frequent the dolmus runs though, id guess 1 or 2 an hour, nothing like summer service.Its always worth hiring a car during winter season especially if you collect it at airport as you then incorparate the transfere cost as well as your car hire and its not too expensive then to have the car at your disposal .Thats what we always did before we moved here permanantly, we used to go off sight seeing on good days and it was great as we had these places all to ourselves.
