Hi, we are back in Calis in June & need to buy a fridge for our house. Any pointers very welcome as to the best place to buy please.
-
Selfridges.?
Seriously, Eren Spot is your man www.erenspot.com/ Well recommended on this Forum.
-
Eren Spot, Beko, Arcelik.
-
How do you pronounce that last shop phonetically? The grandkids crack up every time they see it but I'm sure that it's not pronounced the way that they say it.
-
I think sort of Archer-lik
But I prefer the grandkid's version ;)
-
Eren Spot also Kipa sell a range of fridges. We got our last fridge from the Beko shop at the top of the one way street, right hand side when driving up.
-
Camilcok is the one that gets me,oh and Ufuk
-
Thanks everyone.
-
Do not go near Kips for any elec items, nightmare if they break down whilst in warranty, been there done that never again.

Kâmil Koç ? We always refer to it as "riding the camel's c**k". ;)
-
I really don't think you can go wrong with Eren Spot, good choice, good prices and good service/after sales

We had a big American style Vestel fridge freezer - it was very good but when we needed service (for a Vestel microwave), the shop couldn't have been LESS helpful. I wouldn't recommend Vestel products because of their shoddy service. It's strange, they were so helpful when we were buying...
-
Servicing a microwave? Why bother? They only cost £30! Keen as I am on recycling and saving the human race from climate change, I think anything other than changing the fuse on a microwave is wasting resources.
-
Well firstly it was only a few months old and under guarantee, and back then & over there it cost way more than £30! I can't see why anyone would chuck a 3 month old guaranteed appliance out and pay for a new one?
-
Fair enough. Toss of the coin I guess. My £30 microwave is operating quite effectively after about ten years. I was advised by a white goods bloke I wasn't buying from to buy the cheapest I could get because "there is less to go wrong".
