We've decided to hire a car and drive over (and back) when we land in Antalya in June. Any tips for getting on the right road for Fethiye from the airport?
As much as we've heard the coastal route is lovely, we plan on going the fastest route "over the top".
Thoughts anyone please?

Head into the city centre, pick-up the D350 for Kepez and Korkuteli and then from Korkuteli stay on the D350 and D400 for Fethiye.
If you put the start and finish locations into ViaMichelin it gives you a turn-by-turn route with all the roadsigns and speed limits.

The problem with signposting in Antayla (and Turkey) is there is far too much of it!! Very confusing and not easy to spot the one you need. But once you find the 350 as KKOB says, the journey is very straightforward, scenic and quite relaxed. Till you've done it a few times, then it is the most boring journey ever :D

Well, I shall look forward to the"boring" bit as getting out of Antalya looks like "fun" on the maps/directions I checked on KKOB's link :o
Fortunately we land early afternoon so should be OK - quite an adventure really. ;D

We have done this route many times and mainly at night. I believe if you follow the signpost for Kemer to get out of Antalya it is easier. The new roundabout / flyover is the most confusing on maps as it is a right turn when reality it is bearing right before the flyover and under. The road is good until the left turn to Fethiyie signpost. Then single lane through numerous villages until the Seki turnoff when the road improves again. Approximately 4 Hours maximum is all it takes. Returning is easier as the new road bypasses Antalya just follow the signs for airport.
Travelling next week so will look for a landmark before the turn for you.

Why can't we use the new road out of Antalya as well?

I suppose no reason it is just the way we have always gone. Attached where you come off, miss this and you would turn off at the next roundabout passed the flyover. Attached turn off before flyover
