Ok,
I’m clearing out some old papers and came across an old price list from 2010 for the Ces Market next to the Oykun Hotel.
Who can guess the price of 24 Efes?
19 Ltrs Of Water?
Gas a Bottle?
-
Two shillings and three pence ?

Two shillings and three pence ?
It’s not in Sterling!
Doh!
-
Plus who knows what the exchange rate was back then?
-
2.4 to the £ ?
-
Beer - not a clue, never buy the stuff
Water - I recall having the 19lt bottles delivered around that time & the cost was 5 tl
Gas - guessing 50 tl

Water spot on!
Gas not far off.
Beer way off ;)
-
Beer 42tl
-
So basing it on 2.4 to the £. The water worked out at £2.08p
We just paid 10tl for 19 ltrs and the exchange rate we got yesterday was 6.07tl to the £
That works out at £1.64p

Beer 42tl
Nope.

Depends when in 2010 but I would assume at season start so around 2.3?

I can’t believe nobody has got the Efes price ;)

If memory served it was around 2.5 in the shops so I would say around 55 tl for 24...
