There are quite a few topics about things people take to Turkey, what about things you stock up on when out there?
We love the Turkish mayonez and bring some back. Also these, they help make meatballs into koftes :)

Believe it or not, wooden spoons and catapults. I always visit the old fellas by the canal at the Tuesday market and buy several from each of them. They're artisans, relatively poor, and it's my way of giving them some support.
I got some very strange looks from the security lads at Dalaman the last time I went through. ( Come on all you wannabe comedians. I've fed you a great line there. ;) )

Where do you get the fried chicken coating? I buy Texs Original in the U.K. but it’s expensive. Thanks in advance.

You can get it in any of the supermarkets. It's called Citir Pane Harci, and there is another called Tavuk pane Harci.

You can get most of the Knorr products sold in Turkey, online from a supplier called National Flavours in the Netherlands.
