My Wife is an English teacher and she has been teaching some of the village chidren here in Uzumlu for free ,just because she gets a kick out of seeing their smiling faces when words and phrases are learnt. Today we had a tractor load of goat manure given to us and a bag of cintar and apples from a grateful parent. Thats Turkiye, a great place.

Lots in the market on Tuesday....3 to 4 TL a kilo. For those who don't know what they are, they look like a manky green mouldy mushroom. They are absolutely gorgeous but sadly are only available for a short period about this time of year. Cook like a normal mushroom......give them a try.[^]
