Insurance Claims

Watching the horrific TV coverage of the forest fires in Greece led me to thinking about the claims process in Turkey. Is it as slow as everthing else? Has anybody had to make claims for loss or damage - would just be interested to know how it was handled. I have visions of waiting years for rebuild in the event of serious fire or earthquake damage!

Had occasion to make a claim for a burglary loss last year.....it was all settled and paid within about a month.  The insurer was Aviva in Istanbul.

I made a claim on my house insurance last year, after the big storm that we had, all the wind and rain damaged my roof... i had the equivalent of a plunge pool in my roof space!!   I phoned my insurance guy, he came and had a look next day the guys from head office were there to inspect. About a month later I received my payout. Anadolu Insurance.
