Visa trips to Meis

Hello everyone went on our first trip for visa yesterday to Meis on Captain Selo new boat!!! we were passengers on it's first crossing,it seats 140, all lower deck is enclosed very nice!! all enclosed on the bottom deck which is great for winter crossings. We had fantastic company we met member's off the forum Brighteyes and her mum Karen what a fun day!!!:D We all went with Tayfun (Carol&Tayfun)he picked us up in Ovacik and we had a lovely trip down with a  15 min loo stop on the way. It was like a daytrip we were going to go from Fethiye from autogar, but the cost of all the extras did not work out that much cheaper!! I would highly recommend Tayfun we had a great day his number is 05332402513, he will organize everything for you with Selo. [^] Brillient even though the weather was crap we had lots fun:D

How long did it take from leaving home to getting back home & what was total cost.

 :)How much do they charge for passengers who dont need a visa, and can you stillvget the duty free and bacon there.

Its 75 lira per person for the return minibus transport and the boat crossing
The visa costs 15 euros
plus whatever you spend in Kas and on Meis on food drink and duty free stuff
You leave Calis/Fethiye about 7.30 and usually back there by 5pm

Yes my mum and I were very pleased with the Carole and Tayfun Meis service too. We were picked up from Calis right on time and taken to Kas in a comfortable people carrier. We were given a 10/15 minute toilet/cigarette stop half way and we found Tayfun to be very pleasant. We definately will be using this service again.

Hi all
Tried to book with Tayfun but he was fully booked. So, Phoned Selo and booked boat for Thursday, then whent and booked two tickets from the Autocar.
Let you know what happens on Friday, IF, we get back.

How true is it? I just heared a rumour from someone who said there were signs up in the airport saying in future they are only giving 1 month on passports to brits??

Carole and Tayfun trip to Mais is sooooooo good, good value, good all round trip:D...as for the airport...ehmmmmmm:D....would  like to know how many Brits fly to Meis and from which airport :D

There has been a topic on here recently re this and it seems to be true.
