Hisaronu Festival has been combined with the 6th Oludeniz Art and Music festival.  The Oludeniz Festival starts on 24th June with a parade along the seafront at 6.30 pm.  The same parade will then travel up to Hisaronu and walk through the street from the Ciftlik Motel to the market place at 8 pm when the Hisaronu street festival will take place. The Olu Deniz Arts festival which is mainly poetry readings, book signings, art exhibitions and Turkish  folk music and dancing  will take place each evening from 24 to 28 June. There is a full programme in this weeks Land of Lights.

A warm Efes in a plastic cup......50cl in a bar and a cold glass for 3.5 or 4 TL strikes me as a better deal!!:D

Calis Carnival committee were invited to take part in the parade of this festival. It was part of an agreement we had with them due to the kindness shown by them towards the Calis Carnival events. It was also to publicise  Calis Carnival 2010 for which we had a specially made banner. We had a great night. Not many took part in the Parade but it was a brilliant atmosphere and to be able to join in the parade instead of trying to ensure that ours ran smoothly was great. A special thanks to the Boat Bar/Festival restaurant, The Eski Bar,and all the others who walked miles in the heat!!!! We really enjoyed your company and the concert afterwards was brill. (Especially The talk of town entertainers). P.S no charge.
