How much longer is the building which houses the PTT going to be left unfinished? One of the bricks fell out of the wall and nearly hit me yesterday as I went to use the post office. It is an absulute eyesore when you come into the village as well.

I wonder how the old post man is, the new staff are very pleasant.

It is a shame that the building is still so unfinished, be careful if you are waiting to go in to the PTT, a brick could land on your head! :D

Lack of finance and priorities. Maybe we should offer to increase our rates. Maybe some of the now on hold building Co's were helping?

Bet you life when the cash is there it WILL be completed

I did not know building companies were on hold. Hope that they are able to do the work soon then. Another winter left in that condition will not do it a lot of good will it. It looks as if the design is very nice and it would be an asset to the village.  :)

With world credit problems any reputable builder is holding off building properties that they dont have a chance of selling and not just in Turkey or the UK.

Easy to criticise what they need is suggestions and answers. Got any??

Like you say it will be a great asset.

It's not a case of building something they can't sell.

The council offices in Hisaronu were due for completion and occupation in August 2008.

Are the new parking charges in Oludeniz going towards paying for it I wonder ?

You may find the builders were helping with finance as well as building. If you are not selling houses you dont have cash.

Easy to be flippent. Easy to criticise. We ask you the same question.

Any suggestions any answers.

How much money is involved for it to be completed?

If it is not a vast amount perhaps the local residents could come up with some ideas. It is a community service that the building would provide.
