Please do not take that tone regarding My Husbands oats, he gets plenty of them.  Take a good look at your own life or lack of it.

Dave, I am not the one complaining all the time, in case you have not noticed even after it being pointed to you, it is YOU. I retired to Turkey to enjoy myself in a stress free way, yes, we all know the system is not great, it is annoying, but it is the turkish system (which you profess to love). I am not the one getting wound up all the time, it's you. I must have been one of the lucky ones, but there again I did my homework before I moved here and have gone through the various processes (house buying, residency, shipping stuff from the UK, driving license, buying car, buying scooter etc etc) virtually unscathed, but then again I went with the flow. I have posted my experiences on CBF to help others and to let people know what to expect thus making their life easier.

I like CBF the way it is, again it can be annoying at times but thats all part of it, I like the banter, unlike you who doesn't seem to like having fun, but it was also very useful to me when I moved out here for the information. When have you been on CBF except to moan or put something negative on here. You come across as the type of guy who is "the only one in step" the other 5000 (it's 6480 now just checked) odd members are wrong not you.

Dave, enjoy your retirement, you are only here once, make the most of it. You have only lived here a relatively short time, I know you have holidayed here many times, but it is not the same as "living" here. I am in my third year now and am still learning about various things, most of which you hear about first on CBF. I try and help others when I can, but I also like the lighter side of life.

Back to topic, I hope next year your residency application goes smoothly

Mistakes do happen occasionaly (as they do in the UK and for sure elsewhere in the world).

I think it is a worry for some people sending their passports off, albeit for a few weeks so maybe it is a good thing that people will apparently soon be able to apply for their Visa in Fethiye.

Someone posted this info on CBF fairly recently.

Quite right Kaz, and at least he doesn't have to pay for them, unlike some people I could mention  8) Each to their own I suppose.

Good morning everyone, what a lovely Easter weekend we have here  :)
